US Airways International Terminal:
McKissack, as a subconsultant, provided construction management services for the completion of the new US Airways International Terminal Facility (Terminal One) at the Philadelphia International Airport. The new three-story, 700,000 sq. ft. terminal boasts 13 oversized gates to accommodate larger aircrafts, 56 Immigration and Naturalization Service booths, as well as administration space for the US Customs Services, a ticketing lobby, various state-of-the-art passenger arrival and departure services, a new baggage system area specially redesigned to accommodate originating, terminating and connecting passengers, and a 250-ft. long display of the Declaration of Independence.
The new facility also includes a world-class security and surveillance system.
