Program Special Inspections Director, Queens, NY

Salary Range: $240,000 – $250,000

Position Overview:

The Program Special Inspections Director serves as the senior authority responsible for all Program Level Special Inspections (SI) activities. This role functions as the primary DOB signatory, owner’s representative, and liaison to all Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). The Director ensures uniform compliance across multiple permits, manages inspection strategies, and mitigates regulatory and schedule risks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Program Technical Standards Manual and discipline-specific QA criteria.
  • Perform QA audits of active inspection work and associated documentation.
  • Provide technical interpretation for complex inspections (e.g., structural, geotechnical, fire protection).
  • Validate inspection results and ensure alignment with design documents and DOB requirements.
  • Review nonconformance reports (NCRs) and assist in developing corrective action plans.
  • Support training and upskilling for MWBE inspection firms participating in the program.
  • Coordinate technical interfaces between design engineers, contractors, and inspection teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed PE or another relevant advanced technical credential.
  • Minimum 10 years of QA/QC, engineering, or inspection experience.
  • Expertise in multiple SI categories preferred.

MEP Senior Project Manager, Queens, NY

Salary Range: $200,000 – $215,000

Position Overview:

Responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and financial performance of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) scopes from preconstruction through project closeout. This role provides both strategic project leadership and field coordination oversight to ensure MEP systems are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract documents and quality standards.

The MEP Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of accountability for MEP scope performance and acts as the central liaison between ownership, design teams, field leadership, and subcontractors. This role protects and promotes the interests of the company and Owner while proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and driving successful project outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership & Execution
  • Provide overall leadership for all MEP project phases including preconstruction, procurement, installation, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Develop and manage MEP project execution plans including staffing strategy, logistics, phasing, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure MEP work is performed in accordance with drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with Superintendents to align field operations with project schedule, cost, and quality objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing MEP scopes on commercial construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems installation and coordination.
  • Proven leadership ability across both field and office teams.
  • Experience with project management and scheduling software (Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, change management, and cost control practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex project environments.
  • OSHA 30 preferred.

Project Manager, Queens, New York, NY

Salary Range: $140,000 – $150,000

Position Overview:

Supervises the field construction of a project, including its organization, planning, scheduling, and enforcing safety, in order to complete the work on time, within the budget and quality specified. In the performance of this function, the Project Manager is responsible for protecting and promoting the interest of McKissack in all matters and taking actions, as required, to satisfy responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administration of the project through all phases
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders
  • Conduct construction meetings and owner project meetings
  • Manage the budget and schedule
  • Manage quality control
  • Manage the activities of the prime contractor(s).
  • Identify, analyze and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Develop and write monthly progress reports
  • Manage inspections
  • Review of the project’s safety program
  • Manage the maintenance of project records and all other documents that are project related and assist in obtaining the Project’s certificate of occupancy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance.
  • Proven leadership ability across both field and office teams.
  • Experience with project management and scheduling software (Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, change management, and cost control practices.
