Cost Estimator, Philadelphia, PA

Salary Range: $130,000.00 per year

The Cost Estimator will report to the Contracts Manager and support the School District Office of Capital Programs.

Job Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design Development Phase

  • Develop and prepare Pre-Design Conceptual Budget Estimates and cost estimates at Design Development and Construction Document phases.
  • Implement necessary document, data, and communication tracking and filing system necessary for effective claims avoidance.
  • Review documents/drawings to ascertain whether the design is consistent with programming and construction budgets.
  • Provide constructability reviews of the drawings, specifications and Addendum.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, bid openings, low bidder de-scope meetings, and make recommendations to the Contracts Manager regarding contract awards.

 Construction Administration Phase

  • Prepare detailed “fair price” estimates for change orders and assist in the negotiations with the contractor(s), reconcile proposed change order costs as may be provided by the contractor, the Architect, and/or the Construction Manager. Provide justifications and recommendations to SDP.
  • Review and prepare cost and time impact analysis and provide recommendations with justifications to SDP on change orders for various construction contracts including new and major/minor renovations.
  • Analyze the merits of the Contractor’s disputes or claims and provide recommendations on the justification, cost and time impacts to SOP Project Manager for disposition. Include recommended exceptions, denials and/or acceptance.
  • Assist in negotiations with the Contractor on disputes and claims to seek a fair and prompt settlement.
  • Provide expeditious review and analysis on all change orders, disputes, claims and modifications to the contracts so as not to delay project schedules and deliverables.

Assistant Superintendent, New York, NY

 Salary Range: Up to $116,000.00 per year

  • 3-years+ (plus) of experience in managing or monitoring construction projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience managing or monitoring at least two (2) projects (valued 1-million and up each)
  • Experience in Infrastructure Projects
  • The ability to understand and interpret contract documents such as specifications, drawings, and shop drawings
  • Training and Experience in Safety and Quality Assurance
  • Public Agency Experience

Project Control Engineer, New York, NY

Salary Range: From $70,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field
  • 2-5 years of construction project experience (on-site experience preferred)
  • Proficiency with construction technology including Primavera P6, Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite of programs. BIM experience is a plus
  • Ability to interface professionally with client/tenants to communicate work plans and logistics
  • Individual will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent and collaborate with all project team members including subcontractors and the design team to prepare routine, reoccurring reports.
  • Directly responsible tracking, maintenance, and distribution of all project documents including approved drawings, specifications, project documents, and onsite records
  • Experience working with New York City or State public agencies is a plus
  • Museum/Cultural experience is a plus

Aviation Construction Project Manager, Newark, NJ

Salary Range: $140,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Aviation Construction Project Manager Experience is Required
  • Support the planning of all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to completion
  • Support the client with the management of obtaining all necessary regulations and permits
  • Manage and make sure projects are aligned with agreed-upon plans
  • Provide oversight and management of contractors and sub-consultant’s work
  • Communicates with clients and delivers project progress reports
  • Support the development and management of the project budget, timeline, and quality control plan
  • Manage the collaboration with architects, engineers, electricians, and other specialists in support of the project delivery
  • Provide management support for submitting project information, such as: Testing and inspection logs, quality reports, punch lists, and other various reports related to the project
  • Ensure that all local, state, and national building codes and regulations and safety precautions are followed
  • Uses scheduling software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression

Construction Project Manager Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knows how to use popular construction project management software
  • Builds strong relationships with clients, contractors, and construction workers
  • Supervises a construction manager and assistant construction project managers
  • Excels at organization, time management, problem-solving, and budgeting

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science and Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related degree
  • Aviation Experience preferred
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Outreach Training
  • Construction Project Management certification
  • Minimum of 5-years of construction experience
