McKissack, in association with another CM firm, is providing construction management services for Wexford Development’s new $160M construction project located in the uCity Square Development. This will be a state-of-the-art building, LEED certified, with approximately 351,000 – 406,000 SF and 14-stories. The building will consist of office, lab and retail space. The project faced some delays due to COVID-19 but is currently underway.
McKissack’s responsibilities include will reviewing and overseeing the excavation, building foundations, concrete installation for the tower and Plaza finishes. With the subcontractors, McKissack will develop weekly work plans for construction activities for input into the Project’s production plan that will meet the Project Schedule. McKissack will schedule and coordinate between the trades during the daily huddle and develop Rate of Change production schedules, monitoring installation, and making adjustments to maintain the Project Schedule. Through the use of Procore, McKissack will review Project Documents, Approved Submittals and specifications to conduct and document first delivery inspections, along with regular quality inspections during installation.
McKissack will also lead engineering tasks (submittals, RFI’s, document issuance) for assigned trades/subcontractors. We will work with the Project Engineer for material release and delivery tracking for assigned trades/subcontractors, manage and update RFI & Submittal logs for OAC meetings and ensure Power BI dashboard is updated and tied in with Procore. McKissack will also work with the Project Engineer to complete review of document updates issued by design team to identify design changes and impacts to budget & schedule and maintain documentation and tracking for overall project LEED pursuit. McKissack will also work with the Project Superintendent for monthly schedule update of applicable subcontractors and to track status of subcontractor submitted weekly work plans.
