M/W/L/DBE Compliance positions include Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager and Director. These roles will focus primarily on McKissack’s multiple project-level MBE/WBE/DBE Programs across the eastern United States.
5-15 years experience in management of MBE, WBE, SBE and DBE-related programs. Exposure to public procurement, EEO implementation and compliance, highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance-related preferred or comparable work experience. Background in A/E/C industry or public agency experience preferred.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel (2 to 5 years intermediate to advanced level), Adobe Acrobat (intermediate level), and Microsoft Office, Access, Project and other databases. Excellent communications and organizational skills required and the ability to organize and manage internal and external project requirements.
Coordinating with project personnel to identify available M/W/DBEs for each project that requires MBE / WBE / DBE participation and to determine the appropriate unified directory of certified firms maintained by the State and Federal governments to use as the primary source to solicit certified capable firms.
Developing, coordinating, and conducting, as appropriate, company-wide or project-specific training regarding the MBE / WBE / DBE program.
Meeting regularly with project field personnel and state-level M/W/DBE regulators to discuss the M/W/DBE utilization plan and the applicable rules and regulations related to M/W/DBE participation at theProject.
Monitoring the performance of project-level M/W/DBE personnel in meeting the goals established by each contract for the entire life of the project, including reviewing and auditing documentation in project-level M/W/DBE folders and files, assessing the sufficiency of Good Faith Efforts and meeting with the project M/W/DBE Managers to review the M/W/DBE Participation Plan and the participation and the progress of the participating firms.
Monitoring the M/W/DBEs performance at the project either by personal observation or by review of project documentation and pushing M/W/DBE goals and contractual EEO requirements down to subcontractors and vendors by performing training, scrutinizing contracts and purchase orders and conducting field audits and CUF evaluations.
Auditing project specific compliance with company MWDBE Policy and Procedure Manual in accordance with internal control audit checklists.
Keeping current with MBE / WBE / DBE minority business best practices and representing the company in commercial networking events and forums in an effort to increase minority business participation.
Reviewing the vetting of subcontractors and vendors.
